Saikon Gbehan Isijola, Esq.
Saikon Gbehan Isijola is an attorney, entrepreneur, and community advocate who has dedicated her career to transforming lives through powerful legal advocacy. She is the founder and principal attorney of the Law Office of Saikon Gbehan, LLC, a distinguished personal injury and immigration law firm serving individuals and families across Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Since establishing the firm in 2010, she has represented hundreds of clients through life-changing legal challenges, from securing maximum compensation for personal injury victims to navigating complex immigration cases with precision and compassion. Her practice is built on a foundation of integrity, client-centered representation, and an unwavering commitment to justice for all people, especially those in underserved communities who deserve fierce and effective legal advocacy.
Beyond her law firm, Saikon serves as Legal Counsel for the Rhode Island General Assembly, where she drafts legislation for members of both the House of Representatives and the Senate. She also serves as Legal Counsel to the House Education Committee, advising on complex issues shaping education policy across the state. Her legislative work positions her at the intersection of law and public policy, allowing her to drive systemic change that directly impacts Rhode Island communities.
Saikon is deeply engaged in community advocacy at every level. She serves as Co-Chair of the Immigration Working Group for the Lawyers’ Committee for Rhode Island and the Rhode Island Immigration Coalition. She is a board member of the Tri-County Community Action Agency, contributing her expertise to expand access to essential services for vulnerable populations. She previously held leadership roles in the NAACP, serving as Secretary of the New England Area Conference, Second Vice President of the NAACP Providence Branch, and Legal Redress Chairperson for over a decade, fighting injustice and championing equity through advocacy, legal guidance, and systemic reform.
Her passion for advocacy is deeply personal. Born to Liberian immigrant parents who fled civil war in pursuit of the American Dream, Saikon witnessed firsthand the resilience and sacrifice required to build a life against extraordinary odds. That lived experience shapes every case she takes and every client she fights for.
Saikon’s leadership and impact have earned her distinguished recognition at the local, state, and federal levels. In March 2026, she received a citation from the City of Providence honoring her commitment to uplifting women, families, and the broader community. She was awarded the Justice Without Borders Award from the Lawyers’ Committee for Rhode Island, recognizing her steadfast dedication to protecting vulnerable communities. Rhode Island Supreme Court Justice Melissa Long, the Court’s first African American Justice, and U.S. Attorney Zachary Cunha each sent personal handwritten notes praising her work as moderator of a panel on race and social justice at the 2022 Rhode Island Federal District Court Conference.
Saikon Gbehan Isijola continues to expand the reach of her practice and her impact, using the law as a tool for justice, opportunity, and lasting change for individuals, families, and communities locally and nationally.
